We are pleased to inform you that OKNOPLAST was included in the prestigious ranking of socially conscious Polish companies developed by ‘Rzeczpospolita’ daily. Our enterprise’s high rank confirms a wide variety of CSR activities we participate in—from promoting the idea of sustainable development in collaboration with The Bridge Foundation, through reinforcing environmentally friendly and innovative residential developments within the project “Mieszkamy na Odrze” (We Live on the Oder), to providing help for young people by working closely together with the NGO SIEMACHA.

OKNOPLAST was ranked 21st among Polish companies who contribute the most to charity, according to Rzeczpospolita. As provided in the poll conducted by ARC Rynek i Opinia and referred to in Rzeczpospolita, 22% of respondents consider supporting Polish charity campaigns that help solve serious social issues as an act of patriotism.

“It seems obvious to us—if it is possible for us to help, we do it. Therefore, OKNOPLAST has been supporting various social initiatives since the beginning of its operation. We have been collaborating with the NGO SIEMACHA for many years, and now we are involved in The Bridge Foundation and the “Mieszkamy na Odrze” (We Live on the Oder) initiative. We support education, sustainable development as well as innovative social and industry-specific trends. We also make our presence felt in many smaller social and charity initiatives and campaigns,” says Mikołaj Placek, Chairman of the Board of OKNOPLAST.

Corporate Social Responsibility as perceived byOKNOPLAST

Our company is primarily focused on assisting those in most dire need, particularly children. NGO SIEMACHA is among the organisations that are supported by OKNOPLAST. Being one of the largest social organisations in Poland, it has been helping children and young people in need by supporting their development.

OKNOPLAST Group is also the strategic partner of The Bridge Foundation’s sustainable community development project  named “Education is a Window to the World”. The aim of this international educational project is to bring global environmental, social and cultural challenges and phenomena closer to young people in order to facilitate the understanding of their impact on Poland. The initiative integrates the entire school community: students, teachers and parents. It is carried out after classes and is based upon three main pillars: screenings of documentaries, presentations delivered by experts, and practical modules contributing to the development of critical skills, planning and efficient decision making.

OKNOPLAST has recently joined a new project named “Mieszkamy na Odrze” (We Live on the Oder). The city of Szczecin will see its very first floating house on the Oder thanks to the initiative of a couple of resourceful social activists. The house will become an important landmark on the cultural map of Szczecin with its windows provided by OKNOPLAST and its construction financially backed by our company.

“The OKNOPLAST brand is rapidly growing, making it possible for us to participate in important social initiatives. Most certainly, it is not our last word on the matter,” says Mikołaj Placek, Chairman of the Board of OKNOPLAST.
